AP/MALDI for DNA/PNA/RNA The analysis of nucleic acids is well-matched with AP/MALDI due to the inherently soft ionization experienced at atmospheric pressures. Labile and fragile DNA and RNA, which often undergo metastable decay in traditional vacuum MALDI, are better maintained as intact molecular ions using AP/MALDI.
Typical Spectra:
AP/MALDI-MS of an oligonucleotide mixture of 10-mer, 11-mer, and 12-mer
AP/MALDI-MS of Peptide Nucleic Acids (PNA): mixture of four PNAs 8-mer 25 fmol of each, CHCA matrix.
